Sheila Birgen manages iHub and World Bank’s joint acceleration programme for East African startups. Under her leadership the incubator m:Lab was listed in the top 10 best accelerators 2015-2017 in the World by UBI Global Benchmark and the only accelerator from a developing country. She has worked with 20+ international organizations as partners; they included World Bank, Spider, USAID, HIVOs, Intel, Samsung, Nokia, Google, Facebook, Governments(Kenya, Finland) to mention a few. An entrepreneurship guest lecturer at Aga Khan University Graduate School of Media and Communications, her educational background is in communications and social entrepreneurship, currently awaiting graduation of 2 MBAs. Sheila has Spoken in 40+ International Conferences and travelled to 20+ countries. Her recent projects are in the development and humanitarian sectors.
