What role should governments and regulators play in building a secure, robust AI ecosystem that drives progress for businesses and individuals?
Governments have a unique responsibility—they need to be both enablers and protectors. On one hand, they should fuel innovation by supporting R&D, encouraging collaboration, and making data more accessible in a secure way. On the other hand, they must create guardrails that ensure AI is used ethically and responsibly. The challenge is keeping regulations flexible enough to evolve with the pace of innovation. We don’t want red tape slowing down progress, but we do need frameworks that build trust—for both businesses and citizens. It’s all about striking that right balance.

It’s not just about vision documents or strategies; it’s about real implementation. From appointing the world’s first Minister of AI to embedding AI across public services, smart infrastructure, and governance, the UAE is walking the talk. In many ways, it’s creating a model for how smaller nations can punch above their weight in the AI race—not by outspending, but by outthinking and outmoving.

Yes, at GITEX GLOBAL 2025, we will announce new strategic alliances with cybersecurity and data platform vendors, expanding our portfolio to include partners from additional regions. Alongside this, we are launching a region-specific partner enablement initiative focused on enhancing cybersecurity maturity and readiness.
