1. GITEX GLOBAL 2024 is bringing together the international tech community under the overarching theme “Global Collaboration to Forge a Future AI Economy.” In your view, how crucial are public-private collaborations for developing the next generation of AI-powered tech solutions?

Public-private collaborations are key to developing next-generation AI-powered solutions. Working together, governments and companies can help accelerate innovation, drive the use of powerful solutions and scale up extremely simple and extremely smart technology. Take, for example, the UAE AI Strategy 2030, the Saudi Vision 2030, etc. that encourage and inspire private companies to contribute to AI adoption, new technology development, and digital transformation. By working together, we can ensure AI adoption can move forward and keep up with its rapid evolution while staying compliant with local regulations around data privacy and security. 

2. How is the rapid advancement of AI technologies influencing your industry sector?

AI is rapidly transforming enterprise networking, making it smarter and more perceptive. Here in the Middle East, we are seeing governments and enterprises strategizing and implementing AI across industries and use cases at an unprecedented rate. That’s why Extreme Networks is participating at GITEX Global 2024 under the theme of “Extremely Simple. Extremely Smart,” as we explore how the strategic application of AI, security, and cloud technology can help simplify, automate, and secure your network. AI in particular enables us to deliver solutions that can anticipate network demands, automate operations, optimize performance in real-time, and help protect against emerging threats. This AI-driven intelligence allows us to help our customers go to extremes, providing them with networks that are not only powerful but also perceptive and protected.

3. How is your business adopting and integrating AI innovation?

At Extreme Networks, we are integrating AI in purposeful ways that add value to our own business and our enterprise customers. Our goal is to streamline and simplify the complex world of network management with perceptive, in-depth solutions. Our Generative AI (GenAI) solution, Extreme AI Expert (currently in the technology preview stage), provides actionable insights to troubleshoot network problems and transform the way networks are designed and deployed. From predictive analytics that forecast network issues before they occur to automated responses that ensure minimal downtime, our AI-driven solutions help deliver the network optimization and performance organizations need to succeed in the future AI economy. 

4. Beyond AI, what innovations do you believe will shape the future of your industry and which regions do you foresee leading these advancements by 2025?

Beyond AI, innovations in cloud networking, Wi-Fi and Zero-Trust solutions are set to redefine the future of our industry. These technologies will enable faster, more reliable, and more secure connections, which are critical in an increasingly interconnected world. The META region in particular holds a lot of promise as it shifts to a more diversified, digitally enabled economy. 

5. What are your motivations and expectations for coming onboard the 44th edition of GITEX GLOBAL in 2024?

This is our seventh time participating, and GITEX GLOBAL 2024 presents an unparalleled opportunity for Extreme Networks to showcase our commitment to going to extremes for our customers with our smart, simple solutions. We’re excited to highlight how we offer advanced technology as well as the peace of mind our customers have, knowing that their networks are secure, flexible, and built to keep up with modern organizational needs. We are motivated by the chance to connect with industry leaders, demonstrate our perceptive, powerful, and protected networking solutions, and explore new collaborative opportunities that will drive the future of tech in the region. Our expectations are high—we aim to leave a lasting impression by highlighting how our work is “Extremely Simple and Extremely Smart.”

6. Are you planning to launch any products or services, showcase new technologies, or announce partnerships during the event? 

Yes, at GITEX GLOBAL 2024, we plan to showcase several new developments including our transformative work at Anfield Stadium in partnership with world-renowned Liverpool Football Club. We will also be highlighting our "Extremely Simple. Extremely Smart." approach with innovations that help organizations such as Yas Marina Circuit, Amman Stock Exchange, and Dubai World Trade Center—the host venue for GITEX GLOBAL 2024—to accelerate performance, reduce security risk, and simplify world-class networking. 

7. As a global platform for tech enterprises and industry leaders, how does GITEX GLOBAL contribute to the future of your industry?

GITEX GLOBAL serves as a hub for innovation, collaboration, and knowledge sharing in the tech industry. For Extreme Networks, it’s an opportunity to engage with peers, partners, and customers from around the META region.
