UAE – INDIA Business Council
The UAE India Business Council (UIBC) is a strategic, not-for-profit, entity being formed to support both
Governments in substantially expanding bilateral trade and investment between the UAE and India.
The UAE India Business Council is the official Joint Business Chamber set up by both Governments to advance economic
synergies between the UAE and India. UIBC was formally launched by His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan,
UAE Minister for Foreign Affairs and Smt. Sushma Swaraj, Hon’ble Minister of External Affairs of India during the
11th Session of the India-UAE Joint Commission Meeting on 3rd September 2015 in New Delhi. UIBC acts as a nodal
Council to document, highlight and facilitate the resolution of regulatory, policy or other issues faced by
companies based in UAE and trading with Indian counterparts and vice-versa.
UIBC serves as a forum for bringing together businesses in the UAE and India in order to enable the sharing of
opportunities and increase trade between the two nations.
UIBC also assists its members with business collaborations and joint ventures between UAE and Indian enterprises.
The council also serves to provide a voice and visibility to entrepreneurs and innovators in India and the UAE for
setting up businesses and boosting employment opportunities in both countries. It will continue to promote trade,
investment, and integration between the two nations.
