Alexendar Reinaldo Pérez M.D., Ph.D is an American physician-scientist currently at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) Department of Anesthesia and Perioperative Care. He earned his bachelors degree from Cornell University where he majored in Computational Biology and minored in Earth and Atmospheric Sciences. He earned his Ph.D in Bioinformatics from the Weill Cornell Graduate School of Medical Sciences and his medical degree from the Weill Cornell Medical College. During his Ph.D he was the lead developer of the GuideScan software which resulted in him being named Forbes 30 Under 30 for Science in 2018. He is currently a computational post-doctoral fellow at the National Cancer Institute of the National Institutes of Health. He is also a Research Scholar anesthesiology resident in the UCSF Department of Anesthesia and Perioperative Care.
