eVMS - Visitor Management Solutions
The system is enabled with extensive 3D visualization features by using advanced 3D GIS (Esri ArcGIS) tools, for displaying visitor’s locations in a level of detail (LOD) that describes the interior architecture & objects and 3D positions of the visitors. This feature allows security units to monitor visits secretly and take actions fast when alert of overstay visitors or floor is crowded. This feature facilitates to generate audit report of who visited the facility, who invited them, how long they stayed, what floors or rooms they visited, and if in fact, they left the building after closing.
The latest advancement of eVMS
Integration of Geofencing for outdoor positioning
Geofencing is a location-based service in which an app or other software uses GPS (Global Positioning System), RFID (Radio Frequency Identifiers), Wi-Fi or cellular data to trigger a pre-programmed action when a mobile device or RFID tag enters or exits a virtual boundary set up around a geographical location, known as a geofence.
Geofencing involves a location-aware device to collect the data of users who are entering or exiting a geo-fence. This activity could trigger an alert to the device's user as well as messaging to the geo-fence operator. This info, which could contain the location of the device, could be sent to eVMS for real time processing.
Integration of indoor positioning (IPS)
eVMS is integrated with indoor positioning system, which refers to the technology that helps locate people and objects indoors , where GPS doesn’t work well.
This is a proximity based system, which uses RFID tags or beacons for indoor positioning which can detect the general location of a person or object at room level within a facility. These tags or beacons transmit their identification continually to a number of reader devices. Those reader devices then pass the tags’ identifications and signal strength to a backend system, which then calculates the positions of each tag.
Even though, the positioning technology collect the location data, the real value lies in the systems connected to a particular technology. This is where the eVMS plays a major role by generating extensive reports from data fed, enabling security personnel to take immediate actions against in an emergency situation or to keep in records for future use.
eVMS is already an award winning flagship product for its robust features regarding safety and security. This New advancement (Geofencing and Indoor positioning) in eVMS will enhance the ability of improving safety and security in a given environment. It may be an evacuation of employees from large company premises due to emergency situation or locating patients in a hospital or anti - theft protection.
