GITEX trend tracker shows Cobweb's got main themes covered
As the Middle Easts IT industry descended on GITEX - the regions unrivalled key sector forum in Dubai - the shows key themes emerged, and the great news is that Cobweb, in its GITEX show debut, has most covered.
From AI and machine learning, to local data centre leverage, to digital transformation, start-up promotion Cobweb is on-point with its four new services being launched at the show: CobwebCompleteChatbots; CobwebCompleteApplicationHosting; CobwebCompleteBusinessCentral and CobwebCompleteMicroSMB.
Multi-cloud platforms are the talk of the show with news from research house Markets and Markets that demand from Middle Eastern enterprises will triple the sector size by 2020 to a value of $2.4 billion. And though some analysts forecast the potential could be hindered by cloud migration challenges, Cobweb UAEs Managing Director Altaf Alimohamed said the obstacles are easily overcome.
'Quite simply, those looking to migrate to the cloud and reap the many increased productivity and cost-saving benefits that ensue, need only to look for extremely experienced professionals who can guide them through the migration process from initial assessment to problem-free onboarding and 24/7 ongoing support,' says Alimohamed.
'Cobweb has been in the cloud business since its inception over two decades ago and our turnkey migration offering includes advisory from the beginning when we get to know individual clients and their goals. Then tailored packaged solutions, on monthly subscriptions, are recommended and a full migration process and activation put in place. Our success rate is second-to-none with clients being retained for a decade or more. Our business is to help others grow their business and we take it personally.'
Award-winning Cobwebs slew of new regional services are being promoted at its stand within Microsofts expansive GITEX pavilion. All are based on Microsoft Azures cloud computing platform, the Microsoft Teams Office 365 collaboration tool and Business Central - Microsoft Dynamics 365 all-in-one business management solution.
A Cobweb highlight is the launch of the cloud-based, AI and Machine Learning powered messaging solution'CobwebCompleteChatbots'which is built around the secure, yet agile, Microsoft Azure platform which is managed by Microsofts own data-centres. A demo is live on the stand to show how it can take the strain from customer service centres and speed up response times while saving on human intervention costs.
Meanwhile, the single solution'CobwebCompleteBusinessCentral'is being launched to manage finance, sales, purchasing, operations and service functions. It is highly pertinent to the Gulfs increasingly regulated economy including the recent introduction of VAT in the UAE and Saudi Arabia with the inherent auditing requirements. The multi-layered solution combines the best of Business Central, part of the Microsoft Dynamics 365 suite, with Cobwebs migration, implementation and support expertise.
Cobweb is leveraging Microsofts Azure cloud computing service with'CobwebCompleteApplicationHosting'a two-series offering, for big and small clients, to build, test, deploy and manage applications and services through a Microsofts global network of managed data-centers, two of which will open in the UAE next year. Both formats offer Azures elastic bandwidth which means users cloud-serving capability will automatically scale up when needed with users only paying for the vital stretch period allowing savings on physical server, maintenance and upgrade costs and Internet bandwidth charges.
And the Gulfs enhanced focus on SMB and Start-up promotion is addressed via'CobwebCompleteMicroSMB'- an all-in-one, cloud-based IT solution for solopreneurs and start-ups at an affordable monthly subscription. It removes the worry of an IT infrastructure from entrepreneurs to-do-lists, so they can concentrate on building their business.
The solution comes in two formats: CobwebCompleteSolopreneur and the innovative CobwebCompleteStartUp both of which deliver productivity tools based on the Office 365 secure email and calendar service Microsoft Exchange, a Word Press-based website with a free .com domain, state-of-the-art web hosting on Microsofts open, flexible, enterprise-grade cloud computing platform Azure and more.
Cobweb on Point:
'Yet again Cobweb has shown that it has its finger well on the Gulfs economic development pulse for both public and private sector needs,' said Alimohamed. 'We are looking to play our part in the regions rapidly growing move towards digital transformation and will keep innovative creation of efficient and affordable services forefront of mind when addressing clients unique needs and challenges. We are in the market not just to sell solutions, but to play an advisory and implementation role backed up by excellence of service which will keep us, and our clients, highly'competitive.'
Cobweb meanwhile, has welcomed news of the planned Microsoft UAE data-centres expecting them to spur the potential of the lift-and-shift segment from on-premise servers to Azure cloud solutions.
