1. GITEX GLOBAL 2024 is bringing together the international tech community under the overarching theme “Global Collaboration to Forge a Future AI Economy.” In your view, how crucial are public-private collaborations for developing the next generation of AI-powered tech solutions?
Ever since Pasqal was founded five years ago, we placed a great emphasis on public-private collaboration, while some of the first customers investing in the field of quantum computing were public agencies and multinational high performance computing centers. With AI showing potential to be one of the driving forces of the future global economy, public-private partnerships will be instrumental in charting this new course for humanity.
2. How is the rapid advancement of AI technologies influencing your industry sector?
With the unparalleled computing power that quantum computers can offer, we predict that it will become the biggest enabler of AI. By pairing these two technologies into a hybrid model to create Quantum AI, the efficiency and capabilities of AI algorithms and systems will be enhanced. It will translate into using quantum computers to accelerate AI training processes, optise algorithms for specific tasks, or explore new approaches to machine learning and data processing that are enabled by quantum principles.
3. How is your business adopting and integrating AI innovation?
Quantum AI is an area where our quantum algorithms developers are focusing, which as mentioned before is the pairing of AI and quantum computing. Combining these two powerful technologies, the potential applications are in optimization problems (e.g. logistics, resource allocation, scheduling), machine learning (quantum computers will provide faster processing speeds and enable more complex models to be trained on large datasets), quantum neural networks (neural networks implemented on quantum hardware, to perform tasks such as pattern recognition and decision making), quantum data analysis (quantum computers could enable more efficient analysis of large datasets, leading to insights that may not be feasible with classical computing approaches).
4. Beyond AI, what innovations do you believe will shape the future of your industry and which regions do you foresee leading these advancements by 2025?
The answer is obvious for us – quantum computing. At Pasqal, we are already building and commercializing industry-grade quantum computers while also developing the necessary software. We have use cases across all industries, with pioneers in the banking and finance domain, manufacturing, energy, just to name a few. We are seeing that countries from all continents have realised the immense potential of quantum computing and are looking into ways to support its full development.
5. What are your motivations and expectations for coming onboard the 44th edition of GITEX GLOBAL in 2024?
At Pasqal, we want to be present at seminal gatherings such as GITEX GLOBAL to further our partnerships and elevate the understanding of quantum computing and its potential to business leaders from everywhere. They will definitely be at the event.
6. As a global platform for tech enterprises and industry leaders, how does GITEX GLOBAL contribute to the future of your industry?
Everyone in tech and far beyond will be touched by quantum computing – in a few short years, quantum computers will become ubiquitous. It’s important for us to carry this message to the leaders that will join GITEX GLOBAL.
