What are your reasons for coming onboard the 43^rd edition of GITEX Global, what are your expectations, and who are you hoping to meet at the show?

At Dell Technologies, we’re constantly exploring various mediums to showcase our technologies that enable businesses to become digital enterprises of the future. We look forward to the opportunities that GITEX Global 2023 presents as we look to connect, educate and inform organizations of the need to embrace the right technologies to drive their business forward in today’s digital era.

Are you planning to launch any products or services, demonstrate new technologies, or sign any partnerships during the show? Please provide details to help us amplify your presence.

Dell Technologies will highlight new growth opportunities for regional business with best-of-class infrastructure solutions comprising multi-cloud, APEX, data storage, servers, and security solutions, through its end-to-end portfolio that is helping businesses thrive in today’s digital economy. As part of our commitment to innovation, we will also showcase an AI Hologram, Sustainability Workspace, and Digital Cities VR. We will have a partner led stand where our partners will be showcasing our integrated solutions portfolio from edge-to-core-to-cloud. We will also be highlighting solutions for verticals, like telco and healthcare.

In addition to our Infrastructure Solutions Group segment, we will also be showcasing some of Dell’s Client Solutions Group offerings. These include, and are not limited to, hardware such as desktop PCs, monitors and peripherals, rugged products, and software including end-point security.

How important is GITEX Global for your business, and what is the volume of business growth you anticipate from your participation in the show?

Being a part of GITEX allows us to further support regional transformation initiatiaves and visions, forge new connections, engage with industry stakeholders and contribute to discussions that power the digital agendas of the region.

As the world upgrades to smart and digital infrastructures, it will prompt new models of business, services, and act as a driver of economic momentum. These are very real opportunities in front of us today. Powerful technologies – including artificial intelligence, machine learning, 5G, storage and cloud – are ushering in new and competitive risks and opportunities. This digital revolution will open up broad spaces for new services as well as consumption in a variety of industries, elevating organizations and helping them become more resilient in the face of transformation. At Dell Technologies we are expanding our as-a-Service capabilities to simplify how customers and partners access our technologies on-demand—across storage, servers, networking, infrastructure, PCs and broader solutions.

How important is the Middle East and Africa for your business, and what is your growth strategy in the region over the coming years?

We have been present in the region for over 30 years and we continue to work closely with multiple sectors, accelerating digital transformation programs aligning with regional digital strategies. Our purpose is to create technology that drives human progress, and we strive to take a leading position in helping organizations become pioneers in digital innovation.

Looking at the coming years, Dell Technologies is committed to continue making transformation real for organizations. The Middle East and Africa sit on the cusp of major technology shifts underpinned by ambitious growth roadmaps, new technologies and a drive to foster knowledge-economies through digital transformation. We’ve enjoyed a long-standing relationship with and are committed partners to our regional customers. We look forward to not only strengthening our position as trusted advisors to our customers and partners, but to also help regional businesses succeed in the digital future.

To what extent can the region’s bold digital transformation missions elevate the global tech ecosystem?

With a strong focus on technology adoption, the MENA region has an ideal environment for fostering innovation and progress. Its focus on digital transformation, automation, and big data, aligned with government strategies, is paving the way for building smart and sustainable cities, which will create new business models and services, generating economic momentum. By leveraging data-driven decision-making, the region can also demonstrate to the world how technology can revolutionize urban management and foster a circular economy.

Moreover, the widespread adoption of emerging technologies like artificial intelligence, blockchain, IoT, and digital currencies will enhance global communication and information exchange, leading to unprecedented development and progress. This can act as a catalyst for innovation, holding the potential to revolutionize various sectors and set a precedent that will take the global tech ecosystem to new heights.

Which countries and industry verticals are you targeting as part of your business plan over the next 5-10 years?

At Dell Technologies, our primary focus is to help our customers accomplish their transformation initiatives and thrive in a fast-evolving business landscape. With our long-standing presence in the region, customers look to Dell Technologies for our end-to-end product lines to transform their IT strategies and infrastructure, across various verticals. From creating remote workforces with our leading line up of laptops and monitors to virtualized infrastructure – to protecting critical data and applications, we have best-of-breed products that can cater to anything our customers need. For this year at GITEX, we will have a special highlight on solutions for the healthcare and telco verticals.

GITEX Global is accelerating the epic race for AI dominance in 2023:  how is your business embracing the AI innovation wave?

Currently, Dell Technologies provides customers with AI solutions and expertise that unlock the power of AI, automate intelligent decisions and define their paths to the future. We help customers run AI workloads anywhere they need them and scale AI from proof of concept to production. As the market demand for AI enabled solutions continues to climb, we will continue to capitalize on opportunities within three areas: AI-In, AI-On, AI-For and AI-With.

AI-In ensures AI is built into our products, AI-On ensures we run solutions that customers can run their AI workloads on, AI-For is how we use AI to modernize our business and AI-With is how we work with our ecosystems of partners to make AI real.

Aside from AI, what is the world’s next big technology shift and how should government, business, and society prepare for it?

Once accessible only to prominent research institutions and government agencies, quantum computing is become available to businesses, heralding a new frontier in digital transformation. Embracing quantum computing will enable businesses to unlock advanced computing capabilities and expedite innovation.

To fully capitalize on this transformative technology, businesses must invest in quantum computing and empower their data science and AI teams to gain proficiency in quantum's unique languages and capabilities.

By piloting the use of quantum computing and integrating it strategically into their operations, businesses can stay at the forefront of technological progress and seize the unparalleled opportunities it presents in propelling innovation and advancing processes.

GITEX Global and GITEX Impact will build up the momentum for COP 28, taking place in Dubai from 30 November -12 December. How do you see the adoption of ESG strategies by tech companies, and what are the critical factors for those initiatives leading to a more sustainable future?

The adoption of ESG strategies by tech companies is becoming increasingly vital as sustainability rises to the top of global business agendas. Tech companies, in particular, are recognized as pivotal players in driving the shift towards a more sustainable future.

According to an IDC report, by 2024, 75% of the largest global companies' digital infrastructure RFPs will require vendors to demonstrate progress on sustainability initiatives with data. This highlights the critical role of technology companies in innovating sustainable solutions to help businesses achieve their climate-based targets. At Dell, our purpose centers around creating and utilizing technologies that fuel progress for a better world.

To drive successful digital transformation goals, those in the tech industry must adopt a clear action-led agenda. Merely setting intentions and targets is insufficient, as a well-defined roadmap on how to deliver these commitments is crucial for effective implementation of climate-positive strategies.

Moreover, collaboration between companies and various public-private sector initiatives is essential. By advocating change, sharing insights, and coordinating actions, we can collectively address the urgent call to climate action and achieve meaningful and lasting change.
