There is no consensus of either the technological potential or limitations of self-driving technologies. So far very few autonomous buses have been put into operation on public roads. The yearlong pilot project of busses in regular traffic running in two locations for a year in Stockholm in all types of weather has revealed some of the constraints and obstacles to overcome for autonomous vehicles to get approval and public acceptance.
