SonicWALL to Showcase Live Demos of SuperMassive and Present on Application Intelligence and Next-Generation Firewalls

SAN JOSE, Calif., June 16, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- SonicWALL, Inc., the leading provider of intelligent network security and data protection solutions, today announced it will exhibit and present at Gartner (Nasdaq: IT) Security and Risk Management Summit June 20-23 in Washington D.C. Throughout the event, SonicWALL (Booth i) will present live demos of SonicWALL® SuperMassive™, its recently launched series of next-generation firewalls for large enterprises. It features a massively scalable multi-core architecture that utilizes up to 96 cores of processing power. The demonstration will include load testing of the SuperMassive E10800 using the Ixia Xcellon XT80 appliances to power 160 Gbps of TCP stateful application load generation and IxLoad-Attack cyber security.

Together with customer Berry College, an independent, coeducational college with 1,850 students and approximately 600 faculty and staff members, SonicWALL will participate in a Solution Provider Session to present "Bringing Order to Application Chaos with Next-Generation Firewalls". As a CISO Boardroom sponsor, Patrick Sweeney, vice president product management will address the audience with the topic of "Securing and Empowering the New Workforce with Next-Generation Firewalls."
