Outstanding Performance at a Fair Price
Today, TSC Auto ID launched the affordable TA200 series, the latest low cost desktop models, equipped with two motors and loaded with up to 300m ribbons. The two robust and user-friendly TA200 and TA300 printers are suitable, amongst other things, for printing a wide range of labels for offices, warehouses, healthcare and retail, as well as challenging label design required by pharmacies, garages and mail distribution centres. Due to their modular design, the print device and the ribbon drive can be accessed easily and may be used for kiosk applications as well as other print applications.
“This series is the logical continuation of the cost effective thermal desktop printers that we invented more than 15 years ago and that undergo continual improvement”, says Ladislav Sloup, Managing Director of the European subsidiary of TSC Auto ID.
Both models are characterized by two long-life motors with gear drive and a high-power 200 MHz RISC processor. In the housing, 300 m long thermal transfer ribbons on one-inch cores and large media rolls for labels with an outer diameter of 5 inches can be installed. Optional external unwinding equipment for media rolls with an outer diameter of up to 8 inches, i.e. a size otherwise reserved for expensive industrial printers, ensures additional label capacity.
By default, the new series is equipped with 8 MB SDRAM and 4 MB Flash. The SD card slot enables the flash memory to be extended easily with the serial and parallel interfaces such as USB 2.0, Centronics, RS-232C and Ethernet ensuring a trouble-free data exchange. Multiple sensors such as an adjustable reflection sensor and a transmissive sensor for label gaps guarantee that objects can be labelled correctly and precisely, even with high-volume print jobs.
The TA200 (203 dpi) and the TA300 (300 dpi) are able to print one and two dimensional barcodes in high definition, with a maximum print width of 104 mm on each label.
The two durable, powerful and reliable desktop printers, available at a low purchase price, are operational in environments with an air humidity of 25 to 85% and a temperature of 4 to 40°C. As with all its thermal printers, TSC Auto ID offers a of two-year warranty.
