New Delhi, Dubai, September 2014: TimesMobile, the telecom unit of Times Internet (TIL), the internet and mobile venture of India’s largest media house – The Times Group, announces their participation in the GITEX Technology Week 2014. Slated to be held on 12th and 16th October at the Dubai World Trade Center in Dubai, UAE.  The event will see TimesMobile showcase their augmented reality app – ALIVE. Also, as an exclusive offer, selected advertising agencies, brands, businesses and publications will get to assess ALIVE for FREE.

ALIVE is an augmented reality offering from TimesMobile that transforms the static world of print into a dynamic digital world filled with rich multimedia content such as audio, video, web links and much more. With over a million users, the app combines image-based augmented reality and location-based augmented reality (first-of-its-kind). Selected audience at the TimesMobile Stand at GITEX 2014 will get the exclusive opportunity to experience ALIVE.

Speaking on the occasion, Ajay Vaishnavi, Director, TIL, says “ALIVE is evolving to be the preferred mobile marketing medium to launch new products and services by brands and enterprises – aimed at enhancing a brand’s saliency and user interactivity besides generating footfalls and qualified enquiries”.
